Our mission

The Consortium for iNKT Research and Therapy (CiRT) is a coalition of investigators with interests in iNKT research and clinical translation. The CiRT aims to further the development of iNKT-based technologies, including cell and gene therapies to improve the outcomes of cancers, organ and bone marrow transplantation, infectious diseases and autoimmune disorders.

The CiRT gathers physicians and scientists from all over the world with a three-pronged mission:

  • to synergize efforts that transition fundamental iNKT immunobiology research into the clinic;
  • to raise awareness about iNKT-related activities and achievements;
  • to educate and recruit new advocates to promote the promises of iNKT cell therapies.
